This was taken in week 2 it doesn't really portray any contrasts but it's just me experimenting with the camera and studio lighting. As a theme I'm looking at the theme of beauty contrasting with something ugly.. I've already taken a couple of pictures but they need to be re-shot with a proper camera..photographers I've been inspired by are Matthew Beadle and Stephanie Gray who do a lot of work based on contrasts.

This is a lovely portrait and I do think it has elements of contrast within it. The identity is slightly hidden by the blackness, yet there is a comical or sinister element with the slight smile. Also the juxtaposition of the white background framing the portrait. How do you think this portrait could be changed to have more elements of 'contrast' in it? Composition? Framing? Interest of the portrait?
